Things to have with you when you shop for flooring

1. Have the dimensions of the rooms you want to put new floors on.
2. Know what type of subfloor you are putting the floor on.
3. Know if you are above grade, grade, or below grade.
a. Above grade: upstairs
b. Grade: main level
c. Below grade: basement
4. Have a piece of fabric or wall color you are trying to coordinate your flooring with.
5. Also know where your high traffic areas are.
6. If you have pets or children look for flooring that is designed to with stand the little ones.
